Although he has played behind Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Stephen Bruton, MC Overlord and tons of others, drummer Brannen Temple is most notable in Austin for his founding of Hot Buttered Rhythm and the Brannen Temple Group, as well as his latest project, Blaze.
In Hot Buttered Rhythm, Temple surrounded himself with such local talents as J.J. Johnson, Edwin Livingston and Yoggie. He is truly one of the most respected and sought after drummers in the business, with a resume that includes, on top of the aforementioned, recording, touring and/or performing with Sheena Easton, Jody Watley, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, Charles Gayle, and Chris Duarte.
